Community
Community in LmBox Bridge is the in-app social space: browse and publish Q&A, shares, news, chats and requests; comment, like and bookmark; stay in touch with direct messages and system notices. The sidebar icon is (a red badge appears when you have unread messages).

Where this page fits
This page documents the LmBox Bridge desktop social feature (not a Lab tool). Community does not need an editing extension connected; you must be signed in. Profile card and intro text can be edited in Account center, then shown when others hover your name in Community. Version notes: see “Changelog” below and the desktop release notes.

Before you start
- Sign in to your LmBox Bridge account. If you open Community while signed out, you see “Sign in to use Community” and a Sign in button.
- (Recommended) Open Account center and complete your Community profile: intro, tags, background, and so on. Others see this when they hover your avatar or nickname.
- Stay online. Posts live in the cloud; offline, browsing and write actions such as posting or commenting fail, and the UI prompts you to retry.
Interface
Click in the sidebar. After sign-in you land on the Community feed; top-right opens My Community, or Publish for the full-screen editor.

Steps
Browse posts
- Open in the sidebar (signed in).
- Pick a type in the top bar, or type a keyword in search and press Enter.
- Click a post on the left; read body, cover, view count and engagement on the right.
- Request posts also show quote, delivery date and status.
- Scroll the list to load more; when finished you see “No more”.
Publish a post
- Click in the top bar.
- Enter a title and choose a type (Q&A / Share / News / Chat / Request).
- For Request, optionally fill quote, delivery date, and status (Open / In talk / Done).
- Write in the body; the toolbar supports headings, bold/italic, lists, quotes, code, links, and Insert image (you can also paste screenshots; local images are compressed before upload).
- To point to a page in the app, use App feature in the toolbar: you can pick features tied to the current editor, plus Toolkit, Community, and Plug-in manager. Readers confirm, then that page opens.
- Optionally mark Original or Repost, and set a cover (choose / replace / clear).
- Click Publish to go live, or Save draft to keep it in the cloud. Back to Community discards this edit and returns.
- Public posts and comments go through moderation — keep it civil.
Comments and engagement
- In the detail pane tap Like or Bookmark (tap again to undo).
- In Comments, choose sort (Hot / Newest), write in the input; insert images, paste screenshots, or insert an App feature (including Toolkit, Community, and Plug-in manager).
- Reply on a comment to answer that thread; Send to submit.
- Your own posts or comments can be Edit / Delete (delete asks for confirm).
- Images in body and comments open in an in-app preview.
- Hover an author’s avatar or nickname for a profile card (cover, avatar, nickname, membership badge, intro, tags); on others’ cards you can Message.
My Community
- Open My Community (or jump from an unread badge).
- Switch segments:
- Posts: your published posts
- Bookmarks: posts you bookmarked
- Drafts: cloud drafts; open to keep editing or delete
- Messages: inbox
- Back to Community returns to the feed.
Messages (DMs and notices)
- Under My Community open Messages.
- Filter by message type: All / DMs / Comments / System.
- Click a conversation or notice on the left:
- DM: read the thread on the right; Enter to send; Share contact (WeChat / phone / email / other — exchanged only in this thread, not written to your profile card)
- Comment reply: View post or Locate in list
- System: notices, success or reminder messages
- With unread items, use Mark all as read and confirm. Sidebar Community icon and My Community badge turn off when everything is read.
FAQ
Q: How do I use Community? Still blank after signing in?
A: Click in the sidebar. If you are signed out, follow Sign in to use Community. If you are signed in and the list is empty, try another type filter, clear search, or Retry on errors; check your network and refresh.
Q: What is the difference between Publish and Save draft?
A: Publish puts the post on the public feed (after moderation). Save draft keeps it only in your cloud draft box; others cannot see it. Open it later under My Community · Drafts, edit, then publish.
Q: How do I message someone in Community?
A: Hover their avatar or nickname on a post or comment to open the profile card, then Message — that opens the matching thread under My Community · Messages. You can also continue an existing conversation in the message list. You cannot DM yourself.
Q: Publish or comment failed / image upload failed?
A: Check the network first. Large pasted or picked local images are compressed before upload; if they still fail, use a smaller image or crop first. Public content must pass moderation — avoid prohibited language.
Q: How do I clear the unread badge?
A: Open My Community · Messages and read the items, or Mark all as read and confirm. After everything is read, badges on the sidebar and My Community turn off.
Q: Where do I edit the intro and tags on my profile card?
A: Edit Community-related fields in Account center (intro, tags, background, and so on) and save. Back in Community, hover your own avatar to see the updated card.
